Interior Design - Intermediate

'Elements & Principles of Design and Colour Foundations'

This course is for anyone who has a basic theoretical knowledge of colour and design and wishes to develop their skills and knowledge and apply it to their home. It is helpful if you have already completed the Interior Design Basics/Discover Interior Design.

We will study the application of colour schemes and colour contrasts through simple paint exercises. We will develop colour palettes, apply colour principles and learn more about tonal values.

Working with the colour wheel and through simple paint exercises, you will improve your application of colour schemes and an understanding of how colours are formed and how light affects colour.

We will then adapt your colour knowledge and couple it with the Elements and Principles of Design including such factors as shape, form, texture, size, balance, contrast and repetition. This course is very practical and hands on, and will help build your confidence in the use of colour and design choices for your home environment.
