About the course

Learn to produce pivot data to generate and extract meaningful information from a large table within a matter of minutes. Pivot tables in Excel are a versatile reporting tool that makes it easy to extract information from large data. Pivot tables can summarize long lists of data that can be arranged dynamically, you can calculate summary information without writing formulas or copying cells. Also it can help you analyse large amounts of data. Pivot tables are user friendly, by moving, or pivoting, fields of data from one location to another using drag and drop, you can look at the same data in a number of different ways.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, you should be able to do

modifying data and
inserting Pivot Charts.


You must have a general understanding and experience in developing workbooks and worksheets in Excel

Delivery method and resources required

This course will be delivered in a face to face classroom environment led by an industry experienced trainer. The course is focused on Microsoft Office 2016 version, therefore it would be helpful for you if you have the same or recent version installed on your home computer for practice.

Please note that this is a basic course and not Nationally Accredited and therefore, you won’t receive a Statement of Attainment. However, you will receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion of the full course. After completing this course, you may wish to enrol into the accredited programs such as Introduction to Word, Excel Introduction or Intermediate, Excel Formulas and Functions etc. (When available).
